Three Barlickers entered the biggest Marathon in England and once again, came away with some cracking times. Ian Livesey, running his 3rd Marathon this year ran, 2.33.27, showing once again his quality over his favourite distance. With Chris Singleton losing his pb due to the Manchester Marathon being outed as a short course this week, Ian is now the club record holder. 2nd in and running his 2nd Marathon this year was Gary Shaw. Gary nearly pulled out 6miles in due to blisters, but showed grit and determination to finish in 2.44, which is still a great time. Mark Sandamas won the club ballot at the presentation evening and vowed to put it to good use. He's clearly been putting in the training as he looked lean and mean. Touching 50, he put in a great performance and came away with a pb of 2.46. All three enjoyed the unique atmosphere that London provides. Livers will no doubt be looking to go sub 2.30 in the future.

416 Gary Shaw 2:42:41
599 Mark Sandamas 2:46:06
Andrew Chew and Emma Bailey took part in this hilly road race, both getting a pb. Andrew was 3rd and Emma was 4th lady. Prizes were a bottle of wine and a scarecrow. It was a fantastic event and well organised, with the village decorated in scarecrows for their annual festival.
