Quite a few Barlickers turned out for this race with Nick Treitl finishing in the top ten amongst a classy field. The ladies put on a tremendous show with four in the top ten, all finishing one behind the other, like a train. They were led home by Emma Taylor, shortly followed by Victoria Peel, who was also 2nd F23, then it was Molly Ralphson who was first F40 and finally Jacqueline Collins.

Another Barlicker into Ultra running is Tim Pigott and at the weekend he did the 80 miles run across Gran Canaria. There were 772 starters, but with a 32% drop out rate, only 525 finished.
