Membership fees

Despite the name, the club participates in all disciplines of running, fell, cross country and road and welcomes applications from runners of all abilities to join us. If you are not sure if the club is for you, why not come to one of our training sessions or one of our regular pub runs. You will be under no obligation to join, but you will get a feel for the club and a better idea if the club is for you. You can merely turn up to a training session unannounced, but it would be better if you contacted our club secretary first (details on the contacts page) and let him know that you will be coming and he will make sure that whoever is leading the group will look out for you. If you are an absolute beginner to running, you too are most welcome to join us in one of our sessions, but please contact our secretary first and he will make sure that you will have a programme with which you are comfortable. Membership fees for the club are as follows:

It was the North West Road Relays at Stanley Park in Blackpool at the weekend. The club fielded 4 men's teams and 1 ladies. The ladies team were up first with Sarah Bell having a issues with marshals ending up coming back 8th. Annabel Ralph took over and struggled with a calf injury and lost a few places. Rachel Villiers ended up running the fastest leg and bringing the ladies home 12th overall and 4th Lancashire team.

The men's A team went one better and brought home the bronze medal. Will Onek brought made a solid start and was 12th at the changeover. Jimmy Craig then took the team up
to 7th. Ray Edgar ran a brilliant leg pulling the team up to 3rd overall and in touching distance of first place. Craig Shearer lost a 3 places on the final leg but managed to hold on to 3rd lancs team. The other men's teams finished 13th, 27th and 37th overall. The men will be back on the roads next week at sports city for the northern 6 stage.

A good atmosphere, a great route and a well organised race greeted the three Barlickers who turned out for this race.    Julian had a good run to finish in 4th place, as did Emma Bailey and only a windy second half stopped her missing her PB by 5 seconds.

Lothersdale Show Fell Race - 9 September 2017

This is an old fashioned fell race.  There are separate races for the seniors and juniors, but they all run the same course and they all run it together.  

The race was won by U17 Logan Hargreaves-Madhas.  Jack Villiers had a good race to finish 5th overall.
