This race was won by Elite Runner Alberto Vender from Italy in a time of 1:06:41. Italy had three finishers in the top ten and as a result took the team prize.
Given that there were so many Elite Athletes in this race, Tim Chadwick came home in a respectable 77thd place and even Richard Treitl left over sixty runners in his wake even though he was disappointed with his race. No good views on the day, as the summit was enveloped in cloud. The Barlicker's times and places were:
77 Tim Chadwick 1:25:23
513 Richard Treitl 2:13:15
The race winner was Rhys Findlay-Robinson of Dark Peak in a time of 3.59.55. The Barlickers finished as follows:
54 Ben Hoyle 5.34.45
80 John Boothman 6.04.24
83 Gary Bradley 6.07.53
87 Jack Ingham 6.09.42
There were 107 finishers out of what must have been 180 starters.
12 Nick Treitl 24:35

This is a tough challenge. It is 40K of mountain terrain with 3,000 meters of ascent and it was a quite incredible run from Luke Maude to complete the course in just over five and a half hours.

Lots of Barlickers out in this race and were led home by Jonathan Cleaver for the men and Rachel Villiers for the women. A good effort by all the ladies saw them come home with the team prize. Knowing the man, it was perhaps not surprising that John Boothman turned out for this race, despite his incredible 108 mile run last weekend. Given that he has given his legs little time for recovery, he did remarkably well.

The main aims of the club are to increase the participation of running in Barnoldswick and to keep organised running as accessible as possible.
