Membership fees

Despite the name, the club participates in all disciplines of running, fell, cross country and road and welcomes applications from runners of all abilities to join us. If you are not sure if the club is for you, why not come to one of our training sessions or one of our regular pub runs. You will be under no obligation to join, but you will get a feel for the club and a better idea if the club is for you. You can merely turn up to a training session unannounced, but it would be better if you contacted our club secretary first (details on the contacts page) and let him know that you will be coming and he will make sure that whoever is leading the group will look out for you. If you are an absolute beginner to running, you too are most welcome to join us in one of our sessions, but please contact our secretary first and he will make sure that you will have a programme with which you are comfortable. The seniors and the U17s run together on the same course and the U17s dominated the proceedings.  This race was won by a young whippet, Sam Smith of Wharfedale Harriers who fair breezed up and down the climb to the Cowling Pinnacle and Tower and he was followed home by his team mate and another U17, Alex Thompson.  In third place and first senior was Nick Treitl.

Despite the effort he put into the Park Run this morning, young Jack Villiers was out again this afternoon, mixing it with the seniors and coming home in 5th place overall and 4th U17 runner.  He was followed home by Chris Smale who was 1st M50 and in 8th place overall and 1st M40 was Scott McCredie.
