The race was won by Andrew Cairns of Wharfedale. Amelie Lane, an under 21 and also of Wharfedale Harriers, won the ladies race, finishing 10th overall. On a beautiful, but very warm and sticky evening, the Barlickers were led home by Jethro Whitfield. Jethro had a strong start, climbing well. He got too hot crossing the fields at the top, so he slowed and recovered, and then kicked in again to finish strongly. Andrew Smith had a strong run, winning the Vet 60 category.

Tom Corrigan is on fire at the moment. In this event, he was pitted against top European International runners - all younger men. Against this competition, he finished 30th overall, but bearing in mind that all but eight of those who finished ahead of him were Internationals, that is an incredible performance. With a performance like that, he was naturally first M40.

The main aims of the club are to increase the participation of running in Barnoldswick and to keep organised running as accessible as possible.
