Emma Bailey is doubtless smiling as she looks at these results, as she put in an excellent time for this half marathon and finished first in category. Richard entered the full marathon which is completed in just over four hours.

The Fellsman is a high level traverse covering more than 60 miles over very hard rugged moorland. The event climbs over 11,000 feet in its path from Ingleton to Threshfield in the Yorkshire Dales. The route does not follow well defined paths so entrants navigational skills are tested as well as their physical fitness.
Gary Bradley finished in 107th position in a time of 17 hrs 41 mins. This is one hour off a PB for Gary, but he reported, as the Three Peaks runners already know, it was a bit of a brutal morning, but it improved as the day went on into a fantastic evening and night.
There were 279 finishers and 91 entrants retired or withdrew from the race.
Barlick vests were on display in London at the weekend as both Ian Livesey & John Boothman had a crack at this race. Ian, competing in his second marathon in a week completed the course in 2:58:04. John finished in 3:23:06, just outside his PB achieved in the Edinburgh Marathon

Nick Treitl led the Barlickers home in a time of 3:13:43, closely followed by Julian Hood. Lorraine Slater again demonstrated that she is very much at home on the fells, completing the course in just over four and a quarter hours. Sadly, both Bob Jackson & James Stead failed to make the cut off.

Well done to all the Barlick members who took part in these relays and especially to those for whom this was their first race. Gallery of 25 pictures above.

Richard Treitl ran this race and commented on it as follows:
Ras y Moelwyn (the Moelwyn Race) is an arduous fell run from Blaenau Ffestiniog over the three peaks of Moelwyn Mawr, Moelwyn Bach and Moel yr Hydd. This is a category AM, 10miles, 2799ft, and this year was a counter for the British Fell Running Championships. Because of this, the start was moved to the town centre which created a great atmosphere on a warm, sunny but breezy afternoon.
Needless to say I was near the back of the field for most of the race but managed to finish 350th out of 362 in a time of 2:21:52. Finley Wild from Lochaber (who I think has won Ben Nevis for the last 5 years on the trot) won in 1:13:09.
Allowing for the slightly longer course due to the town centre start, I estimated I was about a minute faster than last year.
The Podium 5K is an excellent race if you are chasing a 5K PB. A flat course with no sharp turns and quick runners makes for an exciting night. Andrew Chew carried on his march up the ranks with another PB and Lee Edwards had another cracking run.

There were impressive performances from the four Barlickers at the Manchester Marathon, with three finishing in the top thirty and all with personal bests over the 26.2 mile race. First home was Chris Singleton who finished in 17th place with a time of 2 hrs 33 mins. Next, in 19th place was Gary Shaw with a time of 2 hrs 34 mins. Ian Livesey also had a great run to finish 29th with a time of 2 hrs 37 mins. Tim Piggot ran this race as part of his preparation for the Three Peaks and Old Counties Tops races and his time was 3 hrs 25 mins. Once more, good performances from Barlick on the roads.
