Well done to all the Barlickers who turned out, as they made the effort to go to this far away race. They all ran really well and made their presence felt and are a great credit to the club. A special mention should go to to Jacob Reeday who finished 1st U12 boy. He ran a fantastic race, leading from start to finish. His lead was such that the gala announcer missed him coming in and thought the 2nd place boy was coming in first.
Lucille Pickles, who was 1st U12 girl, had a very strong run finishing high up the field,
Then there was Isaac Reeday, who was 2nd under 9 boy & Oscar Clayton, who came home 3rd U9 boy for his 1st ever top 3 finish.
They finished as follows:
U17
5 Jack Villiers 22:28

8 Ciara Duffy 22:08 (4th girl)

There was some great racing from our juniors as they clocked up three first places, one second place and one third. A special mention should be made of Lucille Pickles who not only won her race, but she also came home in first place yesterday at Kirkby Gala.

Lots of Barlickers out in this race and were led home by Jonathan Cleaver for the men and Rachel Villiers for the women. A good effort by all the ladies saw them come home with the team prize. Knowing the man, it was perhaps not surprising that John Boothman turned out for this race, despite his incredible 108 mile run last weekend. Given that he has given his legs little time for recovery, he did remarkably well.

Richard Treitl was out in this 9.6m / 2700ft race and came home in 2hrs 17mins 49secs, finishing 94th out of 99 finishers. It was very hot with the temperature around 30o, so it was good to get all runners back safely.

A few Barlickers went over for this race instead of the usual pub run. It was a very pleasant setting and after the race, the prize giving took place in the local church where everyone could enjoyed a cheap pint of good draught ale. Andy Collins led everyone home with Carl Pawson in close persuit. Young Jack Villiers had a great race to secure a top twenty finish and last, but by no means least, Jacqueline Collins finished second woman and first F35.

The main aims of the club are to increase the participation of running in Barnoldswick and to keep organised running as accessible as possible.
