Virgil Barton took on this 33 mile challenge which takes in every summit around the Welsh town of Llangollen covering 6200ft of ascent.
He completed the challenge in 5hour 55 knocking 1hour 30 of the existing record - a fantastic achievement!
Coniston Gullies was the setting this year for the first race in the BOFRA calendar and for many their first fell race since lockdown hit last year!

Cloey Mason took part in this race over the weekend which is the first of seven. Set in the Cleveland Hills and Moors it covered 28.5 miles with approx 5400ft of climb.
Cloey completed the race in 06:25:07
Three of our Barlick runners took part in this virtual half marathon which started and finished in Barley with an elevation gain of 1899ft.

For those who are not aware during lockdown the club welcomed Matt Watson and what a fantastic addition he is to the club.
At the weekend he raced the Endeavour 10K in Middlesbrough finishing a brilliant 4th place in a time of 31:28 and also first V40.
Prior to this he had also shown great form at the Podium 5K finishing 13th in the B race in 14:37! Which saw him rank in the top 10 all time British men over 40's for 5K road, he is certainly one to watch!
The main aims of the club are to increase the participation of running in Barnoldswick and to keep organised running as accessible as possible.
