Membership fees

Despite the name, the club participates in all disciplines of running, fell, cross country and road and welcomes applications from runners of all abilities to join us. If you are not sure if the club is for you, why not come to one of our training sessions or one of our regular pub runs. You will be under no obligation to join, but you will get a feel for the club and a better idea if the club is for you. You can merely turn up to a training session unannounced, but it would be better if you contacted our club secretary first (details on the contacts page) and let him know that you will be coming and he will make sure that whoever is leading the group will look out for you. If you are an absolute beginner to running, you too are most welcome to join us in one of our sessions, but please contact our secretary first and he will make sure that you will have a programme with which you are comfortable. Mid Lancs Cross Country League, Chorley - 1 October 2016

As we have alluded to previously, our ladies are on fire at the moment.  In this race, they were first ladies team, not just in their own division, but overall, and in addition, they were also first overall FV35 team.  What a performance!.

The first ladies team was:

Sarah Tipler, Lorraine Slater and Angela Donlan.

The first FV35 team was:

Lorraine Slater, Angela Donlan and Rachel Villiers.

The men put in a good performance and a special mention has to be made of Marc Hartley.  Following his recent medical problems, his doctor told him not to run, but ignoring that advice, he had a test run out last week at the Burnley Park Run (where he finished in first place) and this week, he had another cracking run to finish just behind Matt Lalor.  His contribution, along with the rest of the team, led Barlick to finish in second place and put us in a strong position to challenge for the first division title.

In the Men's League the counters were:

Matt Lalor, Marc Hartley. Lee Parrington, Mark Holgate, David Mills  & Andrew Chew

In the Junior League, our U11 boys did well to finish 2nd against Clayton le Moors.  The team was:

Jacob Reeday, Harley Treitl & Ben Thompson.
