Membership fees

Despite the name, the club participates in all disciplines of running, fell, cross country and road and welcomes applications from runners of all abilities to join us. If you are not sure if the club is for you, why not come to one of our training sessions or one of our regular pub runs. You will be under no obligation to join, but you will get a feel for the club and a better idea if the club is for you. You can merely turn up to a training session unannounced, but it would be better if you contacted our club secretary first (details on the contacts page) and let him know that you will be coming and he will make sure that whoever is leading the group will look out for you. If you are an absolute beginner to running, you too are most welcome to join us in one of our sessions, but please contact our secretary first and he will make sure that you will have a programme with which you are comfortable. 227 Archie Henstocl 34:09 PB

There was a good turnout for this popular night event and they were rewarded by good conditions for a pleasant evening's running.  Sam Watson of Wharfedale came home first, but he had to admit that he was pushed all the way by living legend and Vet 50, Ian Holmes.  Just behind those two was Marcus Preedy of Rossendale.

First home for the ladies was Annie Roberts of Todmorden.

The winner of the guess your time was James Allard of Wharfedale whose guess was just three seconds out from his actual time.

Special mention must go to Jackie Collins who had serious problems with her hip and whilst most people would have dropped out, limped back and settled for a DNF, she showed her renown mettle and grit and soldiered on to the finish.

As, always, thanks must go to the Pendle Inn for their usual warm welcome.

This years club AGM will be held at Barlick Town Football Club at 8pm on Monday 2nd December 2019

This is a tough challenge and the only two Barlickers who turned out were definitely up for it, with Stuart Heaviside finishing in 8th place overall and Lucy Brown finishing 8th lady.
