Uphill out and downhill back, so not really a course where you would expect to achieve a PB. Nevertheless, it was a pretty impressive performance from race winner Ben Fish of Blackburn. The rest of the field, led by Jonathan Cleaver gave chase, but could not close the gap he had built up

The girls showed the boys that they knew all about racing, with Lucille Pickles & Bella McCredie coming home with a first place apiece. However Isaac Reeday was close coming home in 2nd place.

This was a well organised run supporting local charities, with plenty of BFR support. It produced some good Barlick performances with young Alex Mason finishing 5th overall and Emma Bailey 3rd woman and 1st W40.

Eight Barlickers were out in this race where conditions, by the mid afternoon start, were perfect for racing, cloudy but dry with a tailwind for the climb.

Barrie took a nasty fall on the descent & was patched up by the medics at the finish.
John & Glenn were contesting for their own private Ingleborough trophy which Glenn re-took back from John ... The Whitman Cup?
All in all a great afternoon’s racing.

There was a battle royal at the front of the field in this race between Max Wharton of Calder Valley & Gary Priestley of Salford. The pair finished way ahead of the following pack with Max Wharton just shading it over the second place man by just three seconds and setting a new course record in the process. It was great racing between these two athletes.
The rest of the field came home nearly four minutes after the battling duo with Andy Collins leading the Barlickers home with another top class run. Barlick were joint second place team along with Todmorden, although strictly speaking, they should have been third, based on the third counter rule.
