Membership fees

Despite the name, the club participates in all disciplines of running, fell, cross country and road and welcomes applications from runners of all abilities to join us. If you are not sure if the club is for you, why not come to one of our training sessions or one of our regular pub runs. You will be under no obligation to join, but you will get a feel for the club and a better idea if the club is for you. You can merely turn up to a training session unannounced, but it would be better if you contacted our club secretary first (details on the contacts page) and let him know that you will be coming and he will make sure that whoever is leading the group will look out for you. If you are an absolute beginner to running, you too are most welcome to join us in one of our sessions, but please contact our secretary first and he will make sure that you will have a programme with which you are comfortable. Advanced Junior Training Programme

Barlick Fell Runners have developed an advanced training program for our thriving junior section. The program is available to all junior members who have attended training sessions on a regularly basis thus far.

Some of our juniors are with us because they enjoy the fun aspects of our regular training sessions and they may not necessarily wish to advance beyond that, which is fine.

However, for those who would like to progress their running we have designed a challenging program for all abilities which starts January 2016.

Juniors will be given the opportunity to advance through three stages Bronze, Silver and Gold over a period of 12 weeks at various times throughout the year.

To reach the required standards the following criteria must be met within the target period stated. Any junior struggling to reach a status within the target period will be given extra time and support to help them achieve it, however they will have to wait until the following year to start on the next level. It will be difficult to attain the Gold status for some, but this is because the bar has been deliberately set high.

If your child would like to take part in the scheme the onus is on you to let one of the coaches know. We will post a notice on Facebook and on the noticeboard in the cricket club to let you know when each program is due to start.

The requirements are as follows:
