Take a short(ish) journey to Lancaster next year and you’ll enjoy 6 miles of flat, fast competition in this well organised event, which can be entered on the day. But beware of the “sting in the tail”. To enable you to finish running through the portcullis of Lancaster Castle, the last 0.2 miles involve an unwelcome uphill grind.
Just one Barlick rep, in this race won by Dan Balshaw (C Le M) in 35.27. 173, took part receiving medal, tech t-shirt etc for his efforts.
