Membership fees

Despite the name, the club participates in all disciplines of running, fell, cross country and road and welcomes applications from runners of all abilities to join us. If you are not sure if the club is for you, why not come to one of our training sessions or one of our regular pub runs. You will be under no obligation to join, but you will get a feel for the club and a better idea if the club is for you. You can merely turn up to a training session unannounced, but it would be better if you contacted our club secretary first (details on the contacts page) and let him know that you will be coming and he will make sure that whoever is leading the group will look out for you. If you are an absolute beginner to running, you too are most welcome to join us in one of our sessions, but please contact our secretary first and he will make sure that you will have a programme with which you are comfortable. Well done girls.

This race, which is over roads and tarmac paths has been run since 1984 and it attracts the top runners from the North West of England.  Against this background, Stephen Chew entered this race and finished in 6th place with a PB.  His time was:

6 Stephen Chew 32:49 PB

764 finishers.

There were many Barlick vests on view in the Fell Races and it was nice to see a couple of our juniors, Harley Treitl and Tabitha Berry having a go.

Nick Treitl led home the Barlick seniors in 12th place, followed by Andy Berry, who was 13th.  Full senior finishing positions and times are:

A couple of Barlick Fell Runners, brothers James & Sam Wadsworth, entered this typical Dales Gala race, that is a quick up and down.

Sam finished in 11th place and James, not used to the rigours of fell running since he went to live in Italy, finished further down the field.

11 Sam Wadsworth 12:25
41 James Wadsworth 14:57

The winner of the race was local farmer Ted Mason of Wharfedale, with Ian Holmes of Bingley, second.
