Jack Ingham went up to the Lakes for this Trail Race and came home in 114th position in a time of 1:30:06.
There were 464 finishers.
Luke Maude had a great run, securing a top ten place in his first attempt at this race. He was duly rewarded for his efforts by winning the J A MacPherson Trophy for the best newcomer.
Another runner who had a good inaugural run was Lee Edwards, so much so that he was a team counter for the club. Barlick were 8th team with 108 points as follows:
9 Luke Maude 1:44:40
27 Nick Treitl 1:51:14
72 Lee Edwards 2:03:13
Please note that this will be from the main car park at Gargrave and NOT from the Devonshire at Skipton.
This is a good race, with a bit of up and down with the bridges over the A1 and about half the race on gentle trail for good measure. Julian Hood had a great run, coming second after Mike Burrett of Leeds City with a time of 34:27.

Just John Boothman and Glenn Whittaker showed up for this race. Dave Halliday was down to run it, but he was perhaps suffering from Ben Nevis legs or could it have been Ben Nevis nipples.
137 John Boothman 94:38
154 Glenn Whittaker 98:15
Matt Lalor made a stop half way round but still managed a win, gearing up for his marathon at the end of October in Ireland. He managed to dip under the 2 hour mark with a 1.59 clocking.
Scott Boardman is also in marathon training and he also took part in this race. He finished in a time of 2:45:10, but his position is not yet known.
Full results to follow.
This race was exactly "as it said on the tin" a favourable first mile, a severe uphill second mile (which added 2 mins, then 4 miles of undulations on quiet country lanes. So a challenging course for 3 Barlicks “boys” in a small select field of just 44 which toed the line. The race was made easier by a gentle breeze taking the edge off temperatures on a fine warm and sunny late summer morning.
LEE PARRINGTON led after half a mile and held on for a clear win. Down the field, PETE WILKINSON had the better of TERRY LONERGAN for the first half of the race, proving stronger on the hills, with Terry coming through in the second 5K.
1ST LEE PARRINGTON 36.19
17TH TERRY LONERGAN M65 49.46
18TH PETE WILKINSON M65 51.19
A good weekend for the Parrington brothers, as Russell also won an obstacle race for his team Muddy Kit.
Ian Livesey and Andrew Carson went in search of pbs and both ran well at Salford. Livers ran 33.04. Andrew Carson has been Improving all year and ran 37.17 which is indeed a new pb.
Finlay Wild won the race for the 6th consecutive year. First back for Barlick was Luke Maude in 9th position. Not bad for his first attempt at this race.
The Barlick finishing positions were as follows:

The Kilnsey Crag Race is a typical Dales "slow up, descend like a maniac" race. Rob Hope was perhaps hoping to win this race yet again, but his hopes were dashed as he was pushed into second place by Simon Bailey of Mercia. Jimmy Craig came home in 4th place and Barlick had three runners in the top ten.
4 Jimmy Craig 8:33
7 Luke Maude 9:02
8 Nick Treitl 9:28
37 John Boothman 11:39

Julian Hood won the one mile handicap race and Nick Treitl finished 5th.
Only two Barlickers made the trek up to Reeth for this race. A second place was Jimmy Craig's reward for his trip, finishing behind Tom Addison of Helm Hill. In third place was Jack Smith of Wharfedale.
Angela Donlan finished 4th lady and 1st LV40.
Last week saw the first Barlick win by a junior boy. This week saw a junior girl take the honours. Jenna Boothman was first girl in the U12 race. Her sister Chloe also had a good run in the U9 race.
Dad, John Boothman was first Barlicker in the senior race.

The results have come out for this race more quickly than in recent years and well done to BOFRA for facilitating this. Luke Maude finished in 5th position and Chris Smale finished 8th. Ted Mason won the race with Sam Watson second. Good to see Craig Child back out on the fells again.
