This race was won by Ian Nixon of Pudsey & Bramley in a time of 25:25, with Ian Holmes of Bingley 2 seconds behind him and Nick Charlesworth of Wharfedale 3rd.
On what was a fast course, Scott Baistow of Barlick was 11th out of a large field of 51 starters.
One of the items on the agenda for this meeting will be the design of the club vests. Any club member who wants any input as to the colour and design of the running vests is welcome to come along and chip in. Terry Lonergan will be there to provide some professional input. The meeting is due to start at 7:30 pm.
Barlick fell runners are now starting to crop up in various races. At the front of the field, Carl Bell broke the record holding off Morgan Donnelly to win the race.

Despite an outbreak of man flu and some still not recovered from the New Year celebrations, there was a good turnout of 13 runners, including 2 ladies, for this first social run of the year. Expect a few more next week, when everyone is back to normal.
The New Year sees the club start to get under way and already, it will be organising three classic fell races in the current year. These are the Pendle Cloughs race, the Weets race and the FRA championship race, Buckden Pike. Details of all these race can be found under the "Races We Organise".

Seeing that Andy Holden is at present unattached and therefore has no club web site to champion his running feats, we thought that we would step in. He entered this race as 'Sumo' with the sole object of not coming last.
As things turned out, he finished 113rd out of 144. Not bad for an old 'un.
Mick Plummer and Nick Treitl fancied a go in this one. It is the usual mountain marathon format, that is, you have to collect points by visiting various check points which have varying values depending on difficulty in reaching or locating.
They came 122nd out of 169 and by their own admission, they are very much on a learning curve with this type of event. But they enjoyed it and they look forward to taking part in similar events next year.
The race was won by Tom Adams of Ilkley and was closely followed home by Rob Hope of Pudsey & Bramley and Sam Tosh of Rossendale.
Shaun Chew had the honour of being the first person to run for the club and he came home in 15th place in a time of 36:03.
Jimmy Craig finished 2nd in this race to Allan Bush (Norman's son). There are no times for this race. This is a traditional Dales fell race and it used to be common for such races to be held without timing them. This is probably one of the few left that still do this. The positions for the Barlickers were:
2 Jimmy Craig
5 Shaun Chew
14 Michael Thistlethwaite
An awesome performance from Matt Lalor saw him set a new course record and win this race in 1:11:19, beating second place by 6 minutes.
5 Sam Gibbs 21:14
The main aims of the club are to increase the participation of running in Barnoldswick and to keep organised running as accessible as possible.
