Calderdale Way Relay - 17 May 2015

It was an amazing day as 48 club members all came together to put out 4 teams in this prestigious event.  Calder Valley fielded some class runners and once again came away with the honours.  But this year, Barlick were chasing them all the way and at the end of leg 2, their lead was down to two and a half minutes.  However, the strength in depth of Calder Valley showed and they came home nine minutes in front of Barlick.  Both teams were way ahead of the rest of the field and there was then a 14 minute gap to third place Holmfirth.  This is a brilliant result for the club and it is quite amazing when you think that the club has not been in existence for three years.

However, the action was not all at the front of the field, as our mixed team were putting in some terrific individual performances and they finished 23rd overall and first mixed team and taking away the mixed team trophy.

The full details will follow shortly but the teams finished as follows:

1 Calder Valley 5:53:06
2 Barlick A 6:02:47 (20 mins improvement on last year).
3 Holmfirth 6:17:05
23 Barlick Mixed  7:14:20
28 Barlick Vets 7:26:14
38 Barlick B 7:47:12
